Chrome Extension Privacy

The Path Ascent Chrome extension is a user-initiated capture tool for saving reviewed jobs, professional contacts, and manual follow-up metadata into your Path Ascent account.

What the extension does

Google Sign-In

The Chrome extension package does not request Google API scopes and does not access Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or other Google account content.

The Path Ascent web app may use Google OAuth or Google Sign-In only to verify your identity before issuing a Path Ascent session and extension connect code. Google account information received during sign-in, such as verified email and basic profile identity, is used only for authentication, account creation or lookup, abuse prevention, and account support. It is not used for advertising, sold, or used to access Google content.

Bounded capture fields

Save job captures are limited to the active tab URL, title, company, location, source, and remote/hybrid hint.

Save contact captures are limited to the active tab URL, display name, headline, company, contact type, and relationship type.

Follow-up logging is manual metadata only: type, sender name, sender domain, related company, linked entity metadata, next action, due date, and capture timestamp.

What it does not do

Use of data

Extension data is used only for the extension's stated purpose: saving the job, contact, or follow-up metadata you reviewed into your Path Ascent account. The extension does not sell data, does not load remote executable code, and does not include an analytics SDK.

Deletion and support

You can remove saved jobs and contacts from the Path Ascent web app. For account deletion, capture deletion help, or extension support, email support@pathascent.com.

For privacy questions, email privacy@pathascent.com.
