1. Beta product
Path Ascent is a private, invite-only beta product. By using it, you accept that the product is under active development, that features may change or be removed, that bugs are expected, and that the product may be temporarily unavailable from time to time. We may end your beta access at our discretion. We may end the beta itself at our discretion.
2. No guarantee of outcomes
Path Ascent helps you organize, plan, and execute your job search. It does not promise, predict, or guarantee any particular outcome. In particular, Path Ascent does not guarantee:
- That you will receive an interview from any employer.
- That you will receive a job offer from any employer.
- Any specific salary, compensation level, or compensation range.
- Employment of any kind, in any timeframe.
- That a target role you choose is realistic, available, or a good fit for your background.
3. Career guidance is informational
The roadmap, Today task suggestions, AI Coach responses, generated resume bullets, application answers, salary context, and any other content the product produces are informational and intended to support your own decisions. They are not professional career counseling, legal advice, financial advice, tax advice, or guarantees of any kind. You remain solely responsible for the decisions you make about your career, your applications, your communications with employers, and your acceptance or rejection of any offer.
4. User responsibility for applications and outreach
You are solely responsible for any material you submit to a third party, including but not limited to:
- Resumes, cover letters, application answers, and any other content you submit to an employer or job platform.
- Outreach messages you send to recruiters, hiring managers, references, or any other person.
- Statements you make about your background, experience, skills, or availability.
The product may help you draft, edit, or organize this content, but you are responsible for reviewing it for accuracy and for the consequences of submitting or sending it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the product to misrepresent your background, identity, or work authorization.
- Use the product to harass, threaten, or send unsolicited commercial messages to anyone.
- Submit content to the product that infringes another person's intellectual property, violates their privacy, or is unlawful.
- Attempt to interfere with the operation of the product, attempt to access accounts that are not yours, or attempt to extract data through means other than the product's own interfaces.
- Use the product to build a competing product, or to scrape or resell content the product produces.
6. Account termination
We may suspend or terminate your beta account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these terms, if your continued access creates a legal or security risk, or if we end the beta. You may stop using the product at any time and may request deletion of your data per the Privacy Policy.
7. Feedback license
Beta feedback you submit through the in-product widget or through any other channel may be used by Path Ascent without restriction or compensation, including to improve the product, prioritize the roadmap, and inform marketing or public communications about the product. You grant Path Ascent a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use feedback you submit. We do not attribute feedback to you by name without your permission.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Path Ascent and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the beta — including but not limited to lost wages, lost opportunities, lost interviews, lost offers, lost data, or any other loss attributable to a decision you made using the product.
The product is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis during the beta. We disclaim all warranties to the extent permitted by law.
9. Changes to the beta
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may change these terms at any time. When the terms materially change, the document version above will be incremented and we will re-prompt you to acknowledge the new version before continuing to use the product.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION TBD — to be set by counsel before general availability]. The parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [VENUE TBD — to be set by counsel].
